I was told by an esthetician that nothing short of surgery could get rid of the puffiness on my upper eyelid – I was happy to tell her one more time that I had not had surgery. As a child my weight problems began while I was in the 3rd grade. My family was always very faithful to having full course meals and making sure we'd clean our plates. So, because I was not a very active child the pounds began to add quickly. By the 5th grade I was already in a size 38 and by high school I was in a size 40 pants and 2XL shirts. I was always the victim of mockery, so my self esteem by this time was almost non existent. This caused me to begin binge eating.
